By: Aseem Gaurav, March 15, 2011 (New Delhi)
Now that you own the sophisticated, slim and superfast iPad 2, and are looking to spend some more bucks to get the latest and greatest applications. To make you iPad 2 look pretty cool and sing to your tune, you may need to add some games, some software, and other clean stuff. www.iPadfanzz.blogspot.com has a list of top 5 applications that will work especially well with the new iPad 2! So, enjoy the new gadget!
iMovie App
One of the new apps for iPad 2 is iMovie and it is fantastic to work on this application since it takes advantage of the dual-core processor and doubled Ram in the iPad 2. This enables you to see your entire project and edit it without lag or choppiness. The editing screen on iMovie is same as it is on the Mac and split into 3 different screens. Editing movies is now a child’s play on iPad 2. It has become a lot easier to preview clips just by dragging your finger across them and trim the edges before adding them to your project. Moreover, you can also easily record audio and video directly into the timeline. iMovie comes with eight different themes, and it also provides a plethora of sound effects to add to your movies.
GarageBand makes a killer app for the iPad 2
One of the coolest new apps that you can play on iPad 2 is GarageBand. You can use the application to create musical scores by combining audio loops, play and record virtual instruments. You can also record “real” instruments plugged into your Mac and even create iPhone ringtones, record and assemble podcasts, and create movie soundtracks. Surprisingly you can also play and record your guitar through modeled amps and effects. You can also compose and record your own songs as if your iPad 2 were a music recording studio. Tracks button gives you the option of musical instruments playing sequences. Each instrument can be isolated into a separate track. You can change the intensity of the track, shorten it or otherwise manipulate it. Then you can add as many as eight different tracks to a song and let them all play at once. All that without a lack of music training! Isn’t that too cool!
Star Walk
Solar Walk, a hybrid app for the iPhone and iPad, is an amazing application that lets you explore our solar system in exquisite detail. You can pinch and zoom around the heavens, examining celestial bodies in an immersive 3D environment from any angle or perspective. Star Walk lets you explore more than 9,000 stars, constellations, planets, and other celestial bodies. The app uses the digital compass to help guide your stargaze in the appropriate direction, letting you know where you can spot Cassiopeia, Orion, and oodles of other constellations in the nighttime sky. Using the application you can zoom deeper and deeper into the sky and pan all around. It provides a single-screen space dashboard, showing you when the sun (and potentially-visible planets) will rise and set at your location, along with the current moon phase.
Real Racing 2 HD
Real Racing 2 HD is for those who crave for some real racing action. The app is a heart-pounding, visually astounding 3D racer that puts the steering wheel directly in your hands. The expansive, 10-plus hour career mode and extensive, one-of-a-kind multiplayer means the fight for first place is never over. The app comes with Expanded Career mode with 120 races and new high-definition version of Castellona, available only on iPad and iPad 2. It is a perfect fit for iPad 2 since the tablet computer’s gyroscope makes it unique fit for exceptional steering and handling. The high-performance hardware is pushed to the extreme with full-screen anti-aliasing, which delivers pristine, crisp graphics, and high-detail objects and surfaces that redefine the meaning of “realism”.
The Kindle app
The iPad 2 could be called the most versatile ebook reader as of now though glaring is still a problem in the new iPad version. Thanks to the new dual-core A5 processor, the iPad 2′s browser is also faster–up to 50 per cent, so now you’ll be able to browse and buy e-books more quickly. If you’re going to download an app for reading books, get the Kindle app. It has a bigger selection of books, for now.
