Angry Birds now available for Windows Phone 7

Rovio’s insanely popular gaming title Angry Birds game is now available across most major mobile operating systems and the latest inclusion is Windows Phone 7.

The game is now available on six mobile operating systems: iOS, Maemo, Palm webOS, Android, Symbian and Windows Phone 7.

The attempt o include Angry Birds by Microsoft is seen as an effort to attract quality apps that proliferate on Android Marketplace and Apple's App Store. It is also because consumers will not be interested in a mobile operating system unless it does not have good app repository.

"At last Angry Birds is now available in the Windows Phone Marketplace—a few hours ahead of schedule and so fresh it hasn't even been rated yet," said Microsoft's Michael Stroh in a blogpost.

For now it is time for owners of Windows Phone 7-powered handsets to experience the addictive act of flinging some furious avians onto huge green pigs who stole their eggs.

Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 is showing up in the US Marketplace now, priced at $2.99.
