Video game developer Electronic Arts has brought summer blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon HD to iPad platform, which is sure to keep you engaged with explosion filled action fest. It is the official mobile game of the movie where you can take on the role of either Optimus Prime or everyone’s favourite Bumblebee and dive into the wild and savage action.
The game offers 13 levels of actions, set in the backdrop of cities like Chernobyl and Atlantic City and even the Moon.
Regarding the gameplay: players need to travel the distance from Point A-to-Point B and while doing so they need to blast numerous Decepticons along the way. Besides the Decepticons, they will also need to demolish cars, rocks, and some other small structures. Users can unlock 13 weapons, which gets upgraded using blue energon cubes, as you make your way to the destination. These weapons range from Ion Blaster to the Nucleon Shock Cannon. Similarly, you can also upgrade your skills levels. To deliver special attacks, gamers get the capability to lock onto multiple targets and they can even use melee attacks button to destroy Decepticons from close range.
In short vehicular combat sessions, you can transform Optimus Prime into a semi.
The game scores high in terms of graphics optimized for the iPad with enhanced interface designed for the bigger Multi-Touch screen, but the text-based dialogs interrupt the action far too often. The game is also good in terms of animation and soundtrack. But you may find that the combat is repetitive and not much fun.
The best part of the game, of course, is character and weapon upgrades, and die-hard Transformers fans will certainly like the excitement in switching between robot and vehicle.
Overall, the game is not all that “bad” as you’ll enjoy blowing Decepticons with your upgraded weapons and the fans of the film franchise will never miss the action while on the go.
