Review: Zombie Gunship

By: Aseem Gaurav on July 26, 2011

This game has got everything to pump up your adrenaline. There are zombies, civilians and one of the military’s premiere pieces of aerial hardware, the AC-130, where you take aim at zombies from the gunner’s seat.

It is a survival game where your mission is to defend an allied army bunker at Cheyenne Mountain from plodding zombie hoards (even hard-to-kill giant zombies) as remaining civilians attempt to reach there. You are equipped with a 25MM gatling gun and a wide-angled camera so that you can zoom in to see with more accuracy. So while you choose to blast the approaching undead, at the same time you must ensure human survivors reach the bunker safely. The civilians will appear as tiny white figures, whereas, the zombies are black.

Gamers will get cash rewards for each civilian that reaches the bunker and every zombie that’s killed. Cash can be spent on upgrades for your weapons and to purchase more powerful guns for your gunship. In terms of upgradation, you can buy a 40MM bofors gun and a 105MM howitzer, which will be better in terms of speed, reload time, damage radius, and of course no so civilian friendly.

Gamers will receive instructions in form a voice which will tell you where the bunker is, escort the civilians to safety, and other such tips. The game or mission will end in case there are too many causalities or if any zombies successfully breach the bunker.

Overall, it offers a complete package, which is also the reason why it has done so well on the top paid iPhone app charts. The game is ideal for almost all age groups and affordable price tag makes it even more attractive.
