Many of us are hoping to join Google’s new social networking service, Google+, as early as possible. But the problem is that you can join the service only through invitation.
And some crooks, who desire to make easy money, are quick to figure this out. So, don’t get surprised if you receive a Google+ invitation even when you haven’t applied for it.
At first instance, these fake invitations appear very authentic and one may believe that Google is sending those invitations. However, finally it comes out that these invites are associated with some online pharmacy websites. In addition, the huge popularity of Google+, has even led to many selling the invites on e-bay at $75.
Google had earlier announced that the response was so huge that it had to temporarily stop accepting new users.
Google, which is in the process of launching the network in a big way, said the invitation process will be opened and closed periodically. It is still not clear when Google+ will be officially released.
Now I am sure that the next time you receive a Google+ invite, you know what do with it.
