Catch'em before they're gone: HP TouchPad slashed to $99

By: Aseem Gaurav on August 20, 2011

HP recently announced that it would stop production of webOS devices and is evaluating plans to spin off its PC business. This also means that Apple will always be an Apple. HP had great plans for the WebOS tablet as it was looking to bring the software t printers, automobiles and even home appliances. But HP's execution was flawed and the tablet fell flat on its face. Over and above, the company also failed to get a decent ecosystem of apps.

Now the company is looking to get rid of the TouchPad stock by slashing the prices to a bargain basement $99 for the Wi-Fi only 16GB device and $149 for the 32GB version. But as per reports it may be difficult to get the tablet in stores because the tablet has been snatched up at lightning speed. In the States BestBuy.com no longer lists the touchpad.

Wal-Mart is selling them in its stores but you need to hurry before they’re run out of stocks.
