How it feels like when most of the smartphone users in the state you are living use Android operating system. Also have you ever wondered what a map reflecting the grographical mobile makeup in the United States would look like.

Depicting the battle between iOS (Apple) and Android phones in the US, mobile advertising company Jumptap recently released a color coded map, showing which states lean towards Android, iOS and Blackberry dominance.

The colorful infographic revealed that Google’s Android operating system is more popular in Southern and Southwestern United States while Apple’s iOS has large userbase in the Midwest and Northeast.

The report indicated that in particular, California, Texas and Florida are the hotspots for Android use, while picturesque New England and Midwest show preference for iOS use. Also, BlackBerry has fan following in New York and the states surrounding the capitol.

The data is based on 83 million users on the company’s mobile ad network. Jumpstart also found, just like other companies, that, “Android  still leads in terms of overall marketshare with 38 per cent market share, followed by the iPhone's iOS (33 per cent) and Blackberry (22 per cent).”

No matter which states turn iOS-blue or Android-orange, one thing that the data doesn’t seem to suggest whether Republicans prefer Android or Democrats like iOS. Well think about it and send us your responses.
