Pandora, the market leader in this business which has over 150 million users, has decided to ramp up its services by launching a 3.2 version of its iPhone music streaming app. The move doesn’t come as a surprise given the intense competition in Internet radio service business with providers scrambling to offer new services that makes listening more convenient and as per the preferences of consumers.
Oakland-based Pandora has given the app a new visual makeover which resembles much like Facebook color scheme. Now you can display song lyrics by tapping a square icon that appears on the upper right portion of the screen. Similarly, you can also review (and rate) the track history of the station you’re listening to. The new update also lets you read musician biographies to your iPhone — which was earlier available to iPad users.
Syncing your bookmarks has also become easy as all the songs you have bookmarked on the web can now be available on the app. Tap on a bookmark to preview, buy, or create a station from your favorites.
Moreover, if you are getting bored with a certain song that Pandora is playing repeatedly, tap the new triangle between the thumb buttons and chose, “I’m tired of this track.”
