Reports published in various tech blogs point towards a possible release of a $128 GB iPad. The slate would not be an entirely new model, but an upgrade to the current fourth-generation iPad.
Sources say the device will come in both black and white, as well as Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi+cellular variants.
There is a possibility that this will be a SKU aimed solely at education and government customers. Such a memory would be a good option for people to look at the full-sized iPad over the iPad mini.
Given that Apple updated the iPad in October, it is unlikely to see a brand new version so early in 2013. However, a 128GB upgrade would make lots of sense.
