Panasonic showed off a 56-inch OLED TV that shows images at 4K resolution, four times the overall resolution of current 1080p high-definition TVs.
The TV set, which is just half-an-inch thick thin, is manufactured using 3D printing technology. The use of 3D printing tech reduces the price points to more affordable levels.
Tsuga said, “Consumers want better quality images, and also a better social and content delivery experience on TVs today.”
The TV was displayed for a short period of time, and Panasonic CEO Kauhiro Tsuga didn’t share any details about when it would be available to consumers or at what price.
