The sequel to one of the most popular game on iOS, 'Temple Run 2', has been released for Android devices. You can now download the updated mobile game from Google Play.

The game's developers Imangi Studios released overwhelming response when its iOS version received20 million downloads within four days of the release. The new action and adventure sequel carries all the interesting features of the original version.

The new version promises to be even better than the original with new environments, graphics, and obstacles. Even there are more powerups, achievements and special power for each character.

The game carries much of the same great non-stop action that made the original a winner.

"We're just happy to have the launch much closer together for Temple Run 2 than on the original. We definitely have a lot of fans on Android, so we didn't want them to have to wait to get their hands on the sequel. It's as close to a simultaneous launch as we've ever been able to do," said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi.

"Navigate perilous cliffs, zip lines, mines and forests as you try to escape with the cursed idol. How far can you run?" the company wrote.

The original 'Temple Run' garnered over 170 million downloads in the year since its launch. The company now expects the same rush with the latest release as well.

Presently, Temple Run 2 has a 4.7 rating out of 5 on Google Play with just over 3,500 reviews. Some users, however, complained that there was no clear way to exit the game with a forced app shutdown.
