At first instance, it is hard to tell any difference between Micromax Canvas HD A116 and Micromax Canvas A110 smartphones by India based MicroMax Mobiles. But a closer look at the usage and specifications of both these mobiles tells you all. The Canvas HD, the successor of already a big hit Canvas A110, is the best in its class smartphone with quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, 8MP + 0.3 MP cameras, dual SIM support, 1 GB RAM, Android Jelly bean 4.1.2 operating system, and an affordable price tag of Rs 13,990, and a host of other features makes it a very desirable phone that is well suited for India’s fast paced youth.
Here are some noticeable differences that the company is offering as compared to its predecessor:
1) Canvas HD has 4.1 (jellybean) which is an upgraded version as compared to Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
2) The Canvas HD is much faster than Canvas 2 because of the presence of Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and also due to the presence of 1 GB RAM.
3) The display pixel rate of Canvas HD is 1280 x 720 which is almost triple of Canvas 2, thus the former smartphone offers clear pictures and high quality videos.
4) Canvas 2 needs Mini SIM cards to operate which we need to buy as an accessory while as Micromax A116 Canvas HD works with the normal sized SIM cards.
5. Canvas HD also scored high in terms of featured offered compared to price point and design.
