Indian tablet maker Simmtronics has launched the cheapest 10.1 inch tablet that is of lowest cost in India. Simmtronics Xpad X1010 is a 10.1 inch tablet with 5 point touch and packs in a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The tablet runs on Android 4.0 ICS operating system.
The table delivers great processing power through a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8, dual core Mali 400 graphics processor and has 1 GB RAM. It has an internal memory of 8 GB and supports up to 32 GB of expandable memory. There’s also a VGA camera in the front for video chat but doesn't possess a rear camera.
The tablet has a powerful 5600mAh battery that’s enough to give 150 hours of back up and six hours of internet browsing time. Connectivity options include WiFi and HDMi and support 3G via dongle. The tablet weighs 610 grams and is 10.5mm thick.
The Simmtronics X1010 tablet supports video formats like, AVI (H.264, DIVX, XVID), RM, RMVB, MKV, WMV, MOV, MP4 (H.264, MPEG, DIVX, XVID), MPEG, MPG, FLV and audio formats like, MP3, WMA, MP2, OGG, AAC, M4A, MA4, FLAC, 3GP, WAV.
The XPad’s six-in-one architecture supports 3G connectivity, 1080p high-definition video playback, audio processor, and dual 2D/3D graphics.
The company’s other launches include Xpad X720 which is a 7 inch tablet with only WiFi connectivity and costs just Rs 3,999. The other one is the 8 inch display bearing Xpad X801 which comes with a free detachable keyboard and costs Rs 8,499.
All the three tablets from Simmtronics are eligible for free WiFi access in over 5000 WiFi hotspots in stores like McDonald, Subway, Café Coffee Day, Manchester United, Nirulas, Cocoberry etc.
The XPad X1010 is pitted against Micromax Funbook Pro which costs Rs 9,999 and has the same specifications tablet.
