Are you planning to sell or giving away your iPad? In case it is so make sure that you delete your personal information and data from the device. It is also advisable if you back up your data and erase and then restore data in order to improve the performance.

Before you begin, install the latest version of the iOS software of iTunes. Now plug your iPad into computer. Now on the iPad screen click “back up now.”

After the iPad finishes backing up, unplug it and go to the Settings and click on “general” and scroll down to “reset.” Then select “erase all content and settings.” If you are sure that you’ve backed up your data, then begin the erase.

Once done, the iPad will ask you for information like which Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to. When you complete this, it will ask you if you want to set up your iPad as new or restore information from a previous backup. Then choose appropriately.

Now plug your iPad back into your computer.

In iTunes a “Welcome to your new iPad” screen should appear.
