Xolo has launched its third Intel-based smartphone in the Indian market. The newly launched Xolo X1000 is now available on Flipkart.com for Rs 19,999.

The X1000 carries a price tag of Rs 19,999 and competes against the likes of Sony Xperia P and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos. The phone has pretty impressive build quality and the company has surely put a lot of efforts in it. The X1000 has a unibody meaning the back panel extends to the front part, encapsuling the display inside it. It carries two metal plates – one at the top and the other at the bottom. On the upper part, you’ll find the power on/off button alongside a 3.5 mm jack, while on the bottom there’s a micro SD card slot. The volume rocker is on the right hand side.

Besides good looks, there are equally amazing specs under the hood. The X1000 is powered by an Intel Atom Processor Z2480 which incorporates Intel's Hyper-Threading Technology and boasts speeds of 2.0 GHz, which promises to provide users an overall blazingly-fast experience which they must have not seen before. The company is already claiming the smartphone to be the "fastest smartphone ever."

The smartphone is also equipped with a 400 MHz Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to enable full 1080p HD video encoding and playback for an immersive gaming and video experience. The smartphone also comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD.

The X1000 has an all-familiar 4.7-inch HD display with a resolution of 312 pixels per inch (ppi). The phone’s camera has advanced imaging capabilities like a burst mode, and has a 1.3MP front camera too. The phone runs on Ice Cream Sandwich which the company promises to update to Jellybean early next quarter. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The smartphone is just 9.1mm thick.

The phone runs the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, but Sehgal said an update to Jellybean will be available early next quarter.

"Our partnership with Intel continues. With the first Xolo device X900 in April last year, we redefined speed and performance by bringing in the first 1.6GHz Intel HT based smartphone to the world. With Xolo X1000 and its 2.0 Ghz Intel HT processor, users will get to experience an entirely new definition of speed and performance," said Vishal Sehgal, co-founder and director, Lava International.

Xolo had launched the X900, its first Intel-based smartphone in April 2012. The company later added the Xolo X500 to its portfolio, which was the second Intel-powered smartphone.
