Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 prices revealed

Nokia Lumia 720 will cost will cost £249.99 in the UK according to mobile technology site Clove, while the Nokia Lumia 520 will be priced at £141.66 in the UK.


Nokia Lumia 720, a smartphone between the 920 and the 620, won't be sold in the U.S., since it's being made exclusively for non-LTE markets. The Lumia 720 has a 4.3” screen, curved glass Clear Black display, with resolution of 800-by-480 pixels. This is Nokia's first unibody phone with microSD support. The smartphone is just 9mm thick and 128g in weight. The phone’s touchscreen display featuring a Corning Gorilla Glass protective coating and a 217 pixels-per-inch image density.

The 720 has a 6.7-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and f/1.9 aperture. The display has the same size and pixel density as the Lumia, but rather than AMOLED, it has an IPS LCD panel.

The 720 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon MSM8227 SoC. It is a dual-core ARM CPU running at 1GHz and Adreno 305 graphics.  There’s 8GB of internal storage which can be extended to 64GB via a microSD card. The RAM is 512MB. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi, as well as NFC technology integrated. The device has a 2000mAh battery, tipped to offer up to 13.4 hours of talk time.

The smartphone might be the best WP8 handset Nokia has produced considering the price and featured offered.


At the same time, Nokia also announced a new budget Windows Phone 8 smartphone at MWC, the Lumia 520. It is slightly thinner than the Lumia 620, matching the Lumia 720's 9.9mm (0.39 inch) thickness and weighs 124g. It has a 5MP camera with no flash. The handset has display at 800 x 480, the same resolution as the 620's 3.8-inch and the 720's 4.3-inch displays. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, but most of the other specs have been trimmed from the higher end Lumias. You get 8MB of storage, but you can expand it thanks to a microSD slot.
