TiVo has finally launched the TiVo Mini, its compact streaming box that funnels shows from your 4-tuner Premiere to other TVs in the home. The TiVo Mini extender box is now on sale for $99.99.
The box runs over either wired ethernet or MoCA networks – with no WiFi option. It supports other standard TiVo functionality, letting you set up recordings and season passes, and access services like Hulu Plus, YouTube, and Spotify. It allows you to also pause playback on one TiVo and resume it on another.
Keep in mind mind, you need to pay an extra monthly fee of $5.99 (or a lifetime fee of $149.99) for each unit, on top of your existing TiVo subscription.
