The iPad Mini has been around for a while. And the one thing that sticks out most about the iPad Mini is it feels like an iPad. The 7.9-inch iPad Mini is slightly larger than competitors like the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7, a little over half the size of the iPad 4, and yet, when you pick it up with one hand, it seems just right. The competition has been growing in the 7” category and the latest entrant in this segment is Iconia A1-810 by Acer that features a 7.9-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1024x768. It is same as the iPad Mini’s resolution of 1024-by-768 resolution at 163 pixels per inch (ppi).

The tablet is expected to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, an 1.2GHz MediaTek MT8125 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor. Other regular features will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The A1-810 will also feature an micro HDMI port, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA front-facer, and a 3250mAh battery.

It will come with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. The tablet weighs 460 grams and measures in at 208.7 x 145.7 x 10.5 mm. We should expect a price of around $250 and it should ship sometime in June.
