It is easy to take a photo from your iPhone then you’d have thought. All you need to do is double tap the home button from the lock screen to bring up the camera shortcut key.
The button will appear next to your "slide to unlock" bar.
Now slide your finger upward from the camera icon in the bottom right.
You'll be able to take and view the pictures taken, but if you wish to access the rest of your photo library you will have to unlock your phone with the passcode first.
The method allows you to take photos in less then 3 seconds.
