The iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 with Retina display could launch by the end of October. A report in Bloomberg mentioned that Apple will launch the two tablets in tandem to try and regain control over the market.
The iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 are both said to be thinner and lighter than last year's releases and the iPad 5's design will move closer to that of the iPad Mini.
The iPad 5 is reported to include a 9.7-inch display with thinner bezels. It will still be constructed of aluminium and is rumoured to include an updated A7 processor.
The iPad Mini may come with a Retina display, measuring 7.9-inches.
