Many users have for long demanded the facility of a camera in the next version of iPad, and the company heeded to their demands and incorporated the dual cameras (including a 720p rear-facing camera). But have you ever wondered how many people are actually using this feature since the tablet has been in the market for a while now.
According to data collected by Electric Pig, just 22 Flickr users out of 40 million report actually using their iPad 2 for grabbing snaps. In contrast, people using iPhone 4 as a camera is 200 times more than the Apple's next generation tablet. Currently, iPhone 4 is currently being used by 4000 users to upload photos.
By why is it that people are not inclined to use the cameras in this extremely popular tablet? Low resolution, poor quality in dim light, and of course the large size of the tablet which makes it difficult to click pictures, are some of the reasons reported by consumers. Many also say that Apple didn’t quite get the idea of incorporating a high quality camera into the device. Well, are Apple guys listening?
The new Android tablets coming in the market give users much better options but still they aren’t star performers either. Well, we would like to know your thoughts about that, as to which tablet scores high on the camera front.
