Yahoo! has launched an updated version of Yahoo! messenger app for iPad 2.
The app lets iPad owners to send free text messages and make voice and video calls to Messenger contacts from communication modes like iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android or Windows-based PC.
Yahoo! Messenger users can also share photos and videos in real time, make affordable international calls over Yahoo Voice Phone Out and be in touch with Windows Live Messenger friends.
Earlier, iPad users were using a scaled up version of the Yahoo! Messenger iPhone app only, but with this update they will be able to experience the app in large screen of the slate.
Major features of the updated app include: an iPad-optimized layout, improved spam management and lots of bug fixes, one of which caused unexpected sign-out issues.
The app now comes in nine different languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian and Romanian. The free app is available for download now via Apple's App Store.
