Pix and Stix unveils iPad drum sticks and guitar picks

By: Aseem Gaurav, May 11, 2011

GarageBand, a music recording, mixing, amp modeling and learning application for iPad, is an amazing app especially if you are good at playing instruments. The app gives users a full set of tools to create, record, and edit music, and helps bring out the latent musical talent in even the most unmusical of users.

But as we all know the app is being used by tapping the fingers and one may feel the lack of playing just like the real instruments. So, if you want some real rock ‘n’ roll, then you might want to look at Pix and Stix’s rubberised iPad drum sticks and guitar picks.

Specifically designed for iPad, these accessories give users much better control over their notes and rhythm.

These are “electro conducive rubber tips for accurate, natural touch screen pickup” that work extremely well with the instruments of Garageband on iPad and thus help you play with least efforts.

But just a reminder: Pix & Stix hasn't yet shipped the accessories, as they’re waiting to collect enough pre-orders before they roll on. The price of a Pix & Stix pack - which contains two sticks and a pick – is $16. And if the company doesn't meet its funding goal of $8000, your money will be refunded. The colours available are black, blue, or gold metallic paint.
