Voice Over IP (VoIP) and chat service Skype has suffered an inexplicable crash throughout the world and continues to crash on login.
Users are reporting on Twitter that they have been booted of the system and are could not able to login or even start up the Skype program.
Skype has become victim of unspecified problems just after the company has announced a major deal with Microsoft, with some reports of the programme shutting down with a Windows error message.
“Major worldwide Skype crash, thanks Microsoft!” one user twitted.
Skype is investigating the case and will have more details for us "soon."
