Crux Loaded case turns your iPad into a netbook

By: Aseem Gaurav on June 2, 2011

CruxCase, makers of specially designed cases for the iPad, has launched a new case for the iPad called the Crux Loaded.

The Crux Loaded clamshell case is one such case that expands the Apple iPad 2’s functionality by adding a keyboard and a touchpad, thus turning your iPad into a fully-functional iOS laptop. Crux claims that when you dock your iPad to the case you can get an extra 7.5 hours of run time, to the already long 10-hour computing time on the tablet itself.

The company saus the touchpad not only lets you type more quickly on the tablet but you also get the option to freely use the touchscreen of the tablet.

The trackpad lets you scroll through pages, resize pictures, and even play games using multitouch gestures. You can also use the device to remotely access another PC using a remote-desktop program such as LogMeIn Ignition, Jump Desktop, or Splashtop.

The Crux Loaded will start shipping this fall, and will cost you $249.00. However, the case comes at a $100 premium over the Asus-made Eee Pad Transformer dock.

Do send us your comments on how such cases can really help you improve your productivity.
