Formspring.me Q&A App reaches 25 million users

By: Aseem Gaurav on June 30, 2011

Formspring’s Q&A app has hit a new milestone by reaching 25 million registered members. The San Francisco-based startup, Formspring.me lets users invite anyone on the web to ask you questions. It is a platform that acts as you own personal interview.

After your invitation, you’ll see the list of questions in your inbox and then it is upon you to decide which questions you want to answer or delete the ones you don’t. You can answer them in a word or in paragraphs. The result is a stream of questions and answers.

You can easily connect your Formspring.me account to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Blogger, and thus easily publish your answers.

The best part is that the site offers widgets which you can easily embed in your blog or website. In case you’re not a big fan of the social networking sites then the site serves up some random questions for you to answer.

Recently the Q&A app had announced that it’s giving celebs, including musicians, comedians and actors, special features to communicate with their fans.

In an interview, Formspring CEO Ade Olonoh said that nearly one million people post responses on Formspring every day and it sees nearly 40 million monthly unique users.

The firm is in the process of adding more product features and is planning to bring out new mobile capabilities in the months ahead.
