A 16-year-old girl, known as Thessa, in Hamburg, Germany, may have got the biggest surprise of her life after making her Facebook party invite public.
Nearly 1500 guests showed up to party at her home and looking at the sheer number of people, she was forced to flee. Around 100 police officers turned up to keep the crowd under control.
Thessa attempted to cancel the party on June 4, but without luck.
The crowd gathered at the party set trash cans on fire and Police had to break up the gathering.
Some guests even had brought presents and cake, and some displayed placards reading 'Where's Thessa?' and chanting, "Thessa, celebrating a birthday is not a crime."
"It was sheer insanity but mostly peaceful." police said.
