If you're one of those millions who recently bought the brand new third generation iPad, there is one thing you should know: how to get more out of the battery. No doubt the new iPad is gorgeous and efficient, but the technology behind the vibrant colors of the new iPad’s gorgeous Retina display consume between 20-30 per cent of more power as compared to its predecessor. Given that the iPad 3 screen has four times the number of pixels and nearly twice the quantity of LEDs than the iPad 2, heavy load on the power front was quite obvious. Researchers also point that due to this extra power given to drive the screen, additional heat given off by the iPad 3. This is why there many users reported that the iPad 3 runs warmer than the iPad 2. But in such a case what precautions that a consumer can adopt to take the complete juice out of the battery?

www.iPadfanzz.blogspot.com has come out with these tips which just might help you when you really need it! Here’s how you can improve the battery life of your new iPad:

1. Decrease the brightness of the screen

When switched on, the new iPad is far too bright. This is eating away your battery. All you need to do is reduce your iPad’s screen brightness to a level that’s just okay. First tap the Settings icon on your iPad's display and then select Brightness & Wallpaper option on the left side of the screen. You need to push the slider on the left side to reduce the brightness of the screen. However, you should leave the auto-brightness option on as it will brighten the screen where there is not so much of light and dim the screen when you are outside.

2. Turn on Auto-Lock

Put your iPad to sleep to sleep after a specified period by turning this feature on. Go to Settings and then General and tap on the Auto-Lock option and chose any of the time intervals. It will boost battery life and improves the security of your device.

3. Turn off 4G LTE

Leaving this feature on for some time would hit the battery hard. To remove it, tap Settings and go to General and then toggle the LTE switch to off. For that period of the day when you are not using your network, it is wise to turn off 4G LTE on the iPad if you want to maximize battery life.

4. Do not allow notifications

Remember that the device keeps on checking the notifications it receives from various apps even when it is in sleep mode. So the larger number of apps would mean that the iPad would consume more energy. Go to Settings and then Notifications.
