Angry Birds Space hits 100 million download mark

The Angry Bird mania continues. Rovio’s 4th official Angry Birds game titled Angry Birds Space, has now crossed the 100 million download mark within 76 days flat. The achievement also indicates that people are not tired of the same old formula of putting a bird in a slingshot and firing it in an arc towards a tower of blocks.

Back in April, the company announced that Angry Birds Space had hit 50 million downloads across iOS, Android, BlackBerry devices, Mac App and PC platforms in the first 35 days after its launch.

As reported earlier in iPadfanzz.blogspot.com, the new game features gravity based mechanics, cool new birds, a darker color palate, and a space environment with clearly defined gravity fields that makes it pretty interesting to play. The game gets its juice from overlapping gravity fields and some complex puzzle scenarios. Pigs in space bubbles that instantly freeze once popped, is also a cool feature.

The game comes with sixty standard levels split between two sets. Gamers can also find hidden teasures in these levels that opens up unique Eggsteroid levels. Each set accompanies a great boss fight against the Pig King, which are excellent and you’ll enjoy them.
