The third and final act of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is out in cinemas across the globe, and coinciding its release, Gameloft has launched an iOS app, inspired by the movie.

The app offers numerous missions in addition to random events which will make you feel like a superhero. It has got everything: Batman's gadgets, vehicles, excellent graphics and a plot that is on the same line as the film. Players will deal with hostage situations, jailbreaks, bomb squads and car chases to prove that you’re the true protector of Gotham.

The app comes with a thrilling fighting system that will be put you right in the middle of action scene along with cinematic effects. While battling the bad guys, you can collect items hidden within the city to unlock upgrades and new fighting skills for Batman.

In six thrilling chapters, you glide from rooftop to rooftop, hop on the Bat-Pod, which adds a sense of drama. This time around, Batman takes on the terrorist Bane, while also uncovering the motives of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. Strikingly, users can be as creative as possible in completing Batman’s mission as there’s no pre-determined way of going about that.

The apps is available for $6.99 and weighs a whopping 819MB. The game is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, third and fourth-generation iPod touch and all iPad models running iOS 4.0 or later.
