Color LED notifications to your iPhone could be reality thanks to Kickstarter project‎

The iPhone users have long demanded a case that gives them a notification light for new messages, emails and calls rather than just the LED camera flash. Developers Trey DeArk, a mechanical engineer, and musician Terence Green — known together as Phaze5, have come out with a project on Kickstarter, that aims to fix this.

It’s called FLASHr case that is made out of three layers that reflect the LED flash onto a larger glow frame, which is shown in green in the picture above. Further, you don't need to worry about how the phone is oriented as the glow will still be visible.

As explained in Kickstarter, “Switch on "LED Flash Alerts" in your Accessibility settings, and you iPhone's LED camera flash will light up for calls, texts, emails, and for all Push Notifications (Twitter, Facebook, Games, or any app with Push Notification settings).”

The case is made up of three layers and each layer is available in five colors, thus resulting in 125 possible color combinations.

At the moment, the company has managed to gather $8,114 with 33 days to go. The developers are asking for a hefty $75,000 in pre-orders, to make the project become a reality. A minimum pledge of $35 will secure your color combo choice of FLASHr case.
