Disney Mobile’s latest mobile app Where’s My Perry is a sequel to its earlier smash hit game Where's My Water? The app combines the gameplay of Where's My Water? with the characters from animated TV series Phineas and Ferb. The app is available to download for both iOS and Android.
The app has got everything: cute graphics, the amount of puzzle depth, popular animation characters and an interesting gameplay based on Disney’s popular formula which the company earlier used in Where’s My Water?. It is full of hidden collectibles, brain-teasers, unlockable bonus stages, and secret achievements.
The formula is simple: you need to guide water in its different forms (ice, steam, and liquid) into the hydro-generator that powers a pneumatic tube (in which Perry or Agent P is standing) in order to send him to the next room.
Through each level, you direct the water by digging out dirt with your finger, and avoiding sludge and obstacles.
The game keeps the core mechanics of Where’s My Water?, but introduces new gaming elements inspired by the comedy and antics of Phineas and Ferb. Like you can use Dr. Doofenshmirtz’ laser, which you’ll find all across the screen, to instantly turn water into steam, ice or liquid, or mysterious foam and sludge. Also, the rubber duckies you collected in Where’s My Water?, are now called gnomes. And there’s an interesting twist is their collection, some gnomes can be collected by touching them with water, while few others require steam.
Initially, the game may appear to be easy, but new challenges with every subsequent level force players to rethink their strategy to solve the puzzle. Players need to solve more than 80 puzzles across four chapters and need to collect all three gnomes in each level to become a master spy. Finding top-secret collectibles will help them unlock bonus levels featuring Balloony - Dr. Doof’s childhood friend. The company has tried to keep things lively as all the characters featured have their original voice from cartoon.
Overall, it is a good puzzle game that is clever, surprising and has some great content and depth. It has got everything to make fans say, “It isn’t the first game’s copycat!”
