Apple is likely to hold an event in March to introduce new developer tools for the next-generation Apple TV device the company is rumored to be releasing this fall, according to a note analysts from Jefferies Equity Research issued to clients on Wednesday.

That would mean a game-enabled Apple HDTV or set-top box which analysts believe would be the death of console gaming as we know it.

Jefferies analyst Peter Misek said Apple could introduce an SDK for an iTV set in the 42-inch to 55-inch range. It is possible that Apple HDTV could launch in September or October at a price point starting around $1,500.

Misek also believe Apple may roll out a low cost iPhone and iPhone 5S in June or July, and the iPad 5 and the next iPad mini in September or October.
