Following iTunes, Apple has quietly rolled out its media streaming device Apple TV in India, at Rs 8,295. It is a digital box that brings iTunes store content to a user’s television and also helps connect iDevices to the bigger display with the help of AirPlay.

With the device users can duplicate your iOS device's screen on the TV for internet surfing or gaming on a big screen. On the back, this device has HDMI, optical audio, power, microUSB and Ethernet ports. You can control the device remotely using iPhone, iPod touch and iPad via the Remote app. Inside, there is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

The device is powered by a single core Apple A5 processor and comes with an Apple remote for control and navigation.

The present launch indicates Apple is aggressive about the Indian market. First it launched the iPad Mini, and iPhone 5 soon after the global rollout and then it launched iTunes store in December. The new Apple iTunes Store offers individual songs priced at between Rs 7-15 and whole albums from Rs 70.
