Samsung releases Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note

Samsung has begun the promised rollout of Android 4.1 to the original Galaxy Note, originally teased back in December.

The update brings much of the software functionality of the Note II, including multi-window mode, pop up video, and of course the many changes associated with Android 4.1 at large.

Users in the far East and Germany said they saw an OTA to 4.1.2, namely the same JZO54K build that leaked out last November.

It must be remembered that while it's not pleasant, there is a lengthy process an Android update has to go through before it can reach a handset when carriers are involved.
