Steve Jobs wanted Apple to make a car, and they still might

A report published on Sunday's New York Times says Apple co-founder and late CEO Steve Jobs wanted to make an Apple car before he died.

A car manufactured by Apple isn’t a crazy idea either given that Google is also in the mindset to creating self-driving cars. Steve Jobs has earlier told John Markoff of The New York Times that if he had more energy, he would have liked to take on Detroit with an Apple car.”

Reportedly, Apple never began working on such a car which was the last wish of Apple co-founder. Even the design part could not get started may be because of the fact that the whole company was too busy producing latest technology gadgets.

But one thing is for sure that such a car would probably have an iPad for driver safety restriction, which wouldn’t allow you to run apps that would be dangerous to watch during driving, like YouTube videos.

However, car loving Apple fanboys and fangirls need not lose all hope, though as some big names in Apple leadership, Eddy Cue and Phil Schiller, are both big time car fans.
