Google Play Books app launched in India

Google has finally opened to public the Google Play Books app on Google Play for India.


The company says it is offering million of titles on Google Play including new releases, New York Times best sellers, up-and-coming authors, and free books. It adds that users can personalize their experience, pick up from the where they ended on tablet or computer.

Google says it has designed Google Play Books app to offer a similar reading experience like its competitors Kindle and Amazon. Just like Apple’s iBook app, Google Play Books allows reader to choose from a wide range of books, magazines, journals and more.

Keeping in view the Indian audience, Google has books of leading Indian authors including Khushwant Singh, Amish Tripathi, Ashwin Sanghi and Ravinder Singh.

Google coming to India indicates the growing trend towards purchasing digital media. Google Play Books is definitely an app for all book lovers.
