Flash-powered alerts are great if you want your iPhone to alert you in terms of flash light instead of the telltale buzz sound the iPhone makes when set on a flat surface.
The use of LED is a little-known feature, available on the iPhone 4, 4S and 5, but of good use for your device to notify you, and everyone around you, that your attention – and theirs – is required.
First go to the Settings app and then tap on the General section. Now go to Accessibility section and then toggle the LED Flash for Alerts switch to ON. This mean you’ll now get a light-powered alert. Remember, this will only activate if your phone is asleep, either with the Sleep/Wake button or on its own.
