AT&T has commenced taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 starting at $199.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T's launch date is April 30. Similarly, T-Mobile will start selling the Galaxy S4 beginning April 24. It'll cost $149.99 up front plus $20 per month for 24 months. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will hit Sprint's network on April 27. Sprint will sell the Galaxy S4 on April 27 starting at $249.99 with a two-year contract.
The seven major retailers that will launch the Galaxy S4 flagship, by the end of April, include Best Buy (incl. Best Buy Mobile), Costco, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Staples, Target and Wal-Mart.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 smartphone on March 14. The phone comes with a 5-inch full-HD screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, and pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core processor in some regions, and a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor in others. It has 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX544MP3 triple-core GPU.
The smartphone will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants and features a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. It has a 13-megapixels rear shooter and a 2-megapixel one on the front. The S4 comes with dual-shot, which employs the use of both front and back camera, an eraser shot mode to remove people from photos, and a Cinemagram like feature called Cinema Photo, among several other tricks.
