McDonald’s offers free food to winners of this game

In an extremely unique way to advertise its products, McDonald's entertaining billboard campaign in Sweden allowed users to control the billboard for usage as a personal game for 30 seconds.

And those who came out with flying colours, got free food coupons in the nearest McDonald's outlet.

The sponsors wanted to make the system as glitch free as possible, so all a user has to do is just enter a URL into their mobile browser. Soon after receiving the smartphone’s geolocation, the game begins, and the user controls controlling the billboard’s Pong game with the smartphone’s touchscreen.

What makes this technology unique is that you don’t have to download an app, as it may prevent many to enter the field. But your phone picks up your location. This interactive and engaging marketing strategy is not only quite unique but it is also drive people is hoards to the McDonald’s restaurants to redeem their coupons.
