Despite the computer tablet market being flooded with scores of manufacturers, the sales of iPad and iPad2, is showing no sign of slackness. In this calendar year, Apple is aiming to sell up to 40 million iPads. Such a high demand would obviously mean that there will be a quite a large number of people looking for best and at times even wackiest cases for their precious tablets. It is no surprise then that an iPad case has become a fashion accessory – something which must serve the core requirement of functionality and suits your active lifestyle. iPadfanzz.blogspot.com has compiled a list of five of the most unique (wackiest) iPad cases in the market.

1. iClothing: It offers marsupial inspired T-shirt and dress that features reinforced padded pouches designed to hold the Apple iPad. It is especially meant for those who are just so addicted to their tablet and love to carry the gadget in an iPad compatible clothing. A wacky concept indeed and it may also show you a bit enthusiastic. The iClothing iPad pouch dress is AUD $90 (about $74) and iPad pouch t-shirt is AUD $45 (about $37).

2. Waterwear: Tokyo based company Tunewear had designed a case cover for those looking to bring the iPad into the bath tub, shower, swimming or in the kitchen. It is a transparent case which allows you to operate the tablet smoothly while your iPad remains secure in a durable plastic housing. Waterwear comes with an adjustable strap allowing users to use the device when it dangles from your shower nozzle. The iPad Waterwear case is available for for $38.

3. iPad Travel Vest: This is surely geek’s best friend. SeV/Scottevest offers a vest called the Travel Vest for Men that has 22 pockets with the "TabPocket" on the jacket's inside bottom left big enough to hold an iPad. The vest can easily pack all the electronics and gadgets for the frequent traveler. It will also come handy in airport lines, as one need not carry any bags to have inspected. Just take off the vest and send it to X-ray with all your gear still safely inside. Besides the iPad, one can carry mobiles, digicams, netbooks, chargers and ebook readers. The vest is made from a lightweight cotton/nylon blend, and is treated with Teflon, so it repels waters and stains to keep your stash safe too.

4. iCADE from ThinkPad: The case is simply great as it makes you believe you’re a kid again. The iCade arcade cabinet turns the iPad into a retro arcade machine complete with joystick, six buttons and a glowing coin slot. The cabinet firmly holds your iPad in portrait mode but you can turn it around into landscape. The case is currently only compatible with Atari’s Greatest Hits and you can connect the case to the iPad via Bluetooth. The cabinet will be powered not just by the dock connector on the iPad, but with two AA batteries as well. The cabinet comes at a cost of $100.

5. Ribcage: It is a strange looking iPad case from the house of Switch Easy which would be perfect for any medical professional. The case gets its name from its appearance. It is made from a reinforced protective faux leather front panel with an easy fit elasto-PU back panel for help with inserting and removing your iPad. The case offers simple and sleeve-style design, but the playthrough functionality seems missing. The $35 case also comes with twin video stands, a cleaning cloth, screen protector, and applicator card.
