Samsung Galaxy Tab 680 or Tab 7.7 to cost Rs 34,900 in India

Korean phone maker Samsung will soon launch its Galaxy Tab 680, better known as Tab 7.7 globally, in the Indian market. The online retailer Flipkart has already listed the product on its website mentioning the price at Rs 34,900 and has said that it is coming soon. 


Tab 7.7 is the successor of the company’s original Galaxy Tab tablet, which was unveiled at last year’s IFA trade show in Berlin.
The tablet comes with Super AMOLED Plus screen which means bright and sharp display (1280 by 800 pixels of resolution) along with vibrant colors. It comes with Android 3.2v Honeycomb and delivers power packed performance, thanks to a 1.4GHz Cortex A9 processor. It has 1GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 32GB via the microSD card slot. The Tab 7.7 weighs just 340 grams and is 7.89 millimeters thin, or 0.31 inch.


It has aGPS, WiFi a/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 5100mAh battery.

The tablet sports a pretty sleek buttonless design having syncing and charging port at the bottom, which resides between dual speakers that provide ample volume.

On the inside there are the usual array of radios and sensors, including 802.11n WiFi, an accelerometer, Bluetooth 3.0, digital compass and gyroscope, along with proximity and ambient light sensors.
