It’s not something that any company would want to hear from the co-founder of the world’s biggest search engine. Google CEO Larry Page has said rival Facebook is doing "a really bad job on their products." He said this in an interview with technology magazine Wired.

When asked does he consider whether competition from Facebook had motivated Google’s social products. He said, "It’s not the way I think about it. We had real issues with how our users shared information, how they expressed their identity, and so on."

"And yeah, they're a company that's strong in that space. But they're also doing a really bad job on their products."

He, however, expressed happiness with the progress made by Google+.

Mr Page said he was happy with the progress made by Google+. The 39-year-old chief executive co-founded Google with Sergey Brin in 1998 when the pair was students at Stanford University.
