An analysis by Jeremiah Owyang, estimated Facebook revenues per employee to be around $1,101,753 in 2012. Given that Facebook’s headcount was 4,619 in 2012 with revenues at $5,089,000,000, Owyang said Facebook is pushing over $1 million per employee, while Google ($50 billion revenue for 53,000 reported employees) is at about the same level, at $946,000 per employee.
and publicly available data about Facebook employees puts the headcount at 4,619. Owyang says that’s slightly higher than what Google earned per employee. Google earned $50 billion for 53,000 employees for a total of $946,000 per employee.
As reported by public available data, Automattic, Zynga, Twitter, and Facebook are all generating over $300,000 per employee.
Facebook has a billion registered users and to be precise, Facebook makes either $4.39 or $5.02 per year from each monthly active user depending on how you do the calculation.
However, as compared to Apple, Facebook’s revenue isn’t all that impressive, but one needs to consider that Facebook doesn’t sell hardware and it is a mere digital content company.
